CRIME: BURGLARY AT BELLA CITTA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

POLK COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE CASE: #24-48108
Five unknown suspects broke into Bella Citta Elementary School overnight on November 28, 2024.

The suspects tried to enter the school through several doors which were locked. They can be seen on video entering the back courtyard of the school through a gate.
The suspects roughly removed the trim of the cafeteria door, which allowed them to break the locking mechanism on the door and access the cafeteria. Once inside, they stole food items from the refrigerators, and left them open, which damaged the remaining food items inside due to a lack of proper refrigeration. These suspects caused an estimated $200 worth of damage to the door and $500 worth of damage to the refrigerators and to the food supply.

A PCSO deputy conducted a traffic stop on a green Ford sedan Monday afternoon, March 2nd.
